SNS Founder Scholarship and Award Ceremony

The “SNS Founder Scholarship and Award Ceremony” was held on June 25, 2022 at Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Sciences, Saravanampatti on behalf of Educational Institutions (Sri SNS Charitable Trust).  

Full scholarships are awarded to students studying at SNS Institutions in academia. Children of Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff working in the Institution, Alumni Scholarship and SNS Covid’19 Welfare Scholarship will be provided education from Pre-Kg to any U.G Degree from (School, Arts & Science, Education Engineering, Technology, Health, and Allied Science and Nursing).

All these institutions will be providing free education to those students (Father/Mother/both) affected by covid-19. More than 200 students benefited from this welfare scheme. Students were awarded the SNS Junior Ambassador Award, SNS Young Ambassador Award, and SNS Icon Award based on the Five pillar activities they have excelled in this academic year by SNS Welfare Team.

The Lamp lighting Ceremony

The lamp lighting ceremony for the II batch of BSc Nursing Students of SNS College of Nursing was held on June 27th June.

The Lamp lighting ceremony was held as a tribute to Florence Nightingale, an auspicious occasion in every nursing student’s life. The budding nurses take up the pledge which marks the student's entry into the nursing profession.

The Chief Guest, Dr.M.D.Anuradha, Nursing Superintendent & Prof.Kavitha, Principal, lit the lamps of 60 novice nursing students symbolizing wisdom, knowledge and compassion, followed by recitation of the oath, pledging themselves to uphold the duties as a professional Nurse, administered by Prof. Bharathi, Vice principal.

Menstrual Health : Awareness Program

Delighted to share that SNS College of Nursing successfully organized an Awareness  program on "Menstrual health", by Dr. D. Silambuchelvi, Managing director, Shree Shiva Hospital, Vamsam fertility research centre and Dr. S. P. Aarthy Sumaldha, Associate director, Shree Shiva Hospital, Vamsam fertility research centre.

The goal of the event was to normalize the conversation about menstruation. Speakers were informed about the significance of May 28th, which is recognized as Menstruation Day, as well as debunking myths about menstruation and answering questions about it. It was a slight step toward a world where discussing menstruation was no longer considered taboo. It benefitted around 300 members.

The main focus of the session was the introduction of Occupational English Test Training and Employment Opportunities in Other Countries.
